Pair your devices with a code and playback position follows you: pause on this device, hit resume on the other. Position is saved to the site every minute and on pause.

The four domain modules teach what is true. This one is about how the exam asks. They are different skills, and people who know the services still drop marks on the second one: they answer the question they expected rather than the one on the screen, they pick an option that works when the stem asked for the one that works cheapest, or they lose three minutes on one question and rush the last ten.
It has no exam weight of its own, so there's no examWeight here. It carries no new AWS services
either. What it does is change how you read every question in the other four modules.
| Kind | What it looks like | How it is marked |
|---|---|---|
| AWS fact | question types, scoring, the 720 pass mark, short names, the Help feature, duration, breaks, flag-for-review | quoted, with the URL fetched on 2026-09-25 |
| Method | reading order, the requirement-phrase → pillar map, elimination passes, time budgeting | labelled Method. It's this course's advice, not AWS policy |
AWS doesn't publish a "how to answer" guide for SAA-C03. Anything in here that tells you how to approach a question is technique, and it's labelled that way so you never mistake it for a rule the exam enforces.
Every option is plausible by design, so read the question as a specification and each option as a candidate that fails it.
AWS says it in the exam guide: "Distractors are generally plausible responses that match the content area." The wrong answers aren't there to be obviously wrong. They're there for "a candidate with incomplete knowledge or skill". So "does this work?" is the wrong question to ask of an option, because usually it does. Ask "which stated requirement does this option fail?" Whatever is left after that is the answer.

Take it last, after SAA4. Its worked examples use facts from SAA1 and SAA2, and
elimination only works if you have facts to eliminate with. It's also worth re-reading the week
before the exam.
Exam mechanics come from three places, all fetched on 2026-09-25:
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/aws-certification/latest/solutions-architect-associate-03/solutions-architect-associate-03.html.
It covers response types, scored and unscored counts, scaled score, the pass mark and compensatory
scoring. It does not state the exam duration.https://aws.amazon.com/certification/certified-solutions-architect-associate/), which states
"Exam duration 130 minutes" and "65 questions; either multiple choice or multiple response".
This session is the first to fetch that page, so it resolves the ⚠️ that the handoff and /cert/
carried.⚠️ Two things none of those pages state are flagged in lesson 1: whether a multiple-response question tells you how many options to select, and whether multiple-response items earn partial credit. Don't assume either. Use the AWS Exam Demo at Pearson VUE (named on the before-testing policy page) to see the interface for yourself.
⚠️ No AWS Official Practice Question Set content is reproduced. Every example question in this module is original, written from the task statements. None of it is calibrated against real exam items.
