12 questions, four options each, one correct answer, no partial credit. Questions 1–6 test the published exam mechanics. Questions 7–12 test the method from lessons 2 and 3, applied to short scenarios.
⚠️ Exam-styled questions written for this course. Not the AWS Official Practice Question Set and not calibrated against real exam items. Where an answer rests on method rather than AWS policy, the explanation says so.
1. How is a multiple-response item on SAA-C03 structured?
2. You have 40 seconds left and two questions unanswered. Which action is best supported by AWS's published scoring rules?
3. A question seems strangely worded and unlike anything you studied. What does the exam guide support concluding?
4. A colleague says, "I need 72% of questions right to pass." What's wrong with that?
5. An option names "Amazon API Gateway". A candidate plans to use the in-exam Help feature to expand every abbreviation. What's the flaw?
6. Where is the SAA-C03 exam duration stated, per the pages verified for this course?
7. "A company must keep its application available if an Availability Zone fails. Which solution is the MOST cost-effective?" Which reading is correct?
8. A stem describes a development environment and asks for the most cost-effective database setup. One option adds Multi-AZ. Which exam-guide skill makes rejecting that option legitimate?
9. Two options differ only in "S3 Object Lock in governance mode" versus "…in compliance mode". The stem says "no one, including administrators with full permissions, may delete the records before the retention date." Which survives?
10. You have eliminated every option on a question. What does the method say to do?
11. A stem gives an RPO of seconds and says the DR Region must serve requests immediately at reduced capacity, and asks for the most cost-effective design. Options are backup and restore, pilot light, warm standby, and multi-site active/active. Which elimination is correct?
12. All four options place an Application Load Balancer in front of the web tier and differ only in how the database is configured. What does the method say?
1 — B. "Multiple response: Has two or more correct responses out of five or more response options" (exam guide). A describes neither type. C and D add constraints the guide doesn't state. ⚠️ Whether the stem tells you how many to pick isn't stated on the pages fetched. Check in the AWS Exam Demo.
2 — C. "Unanswered questions are scored as incorrect; there is no penalty for guessing" (exam guide), and "There are no penalties for incorrect responses. Unanswered questions will be marked as wrong" (during-testing policy). D is wrong because flagging doesn't answer a question. A flagged blank is still blank.
3 — B. "These unscored questions are not identified on the exam." You can't tell, so treat every question as scored. A is the trap.
4 — C. The after-testing policy: scores are "reported as scaled scores, rather than the raw number of questions scored correct", and forms "are statistically equated". B is wrong: 750 is the Professional/Specialty mark. Associate is 720.
5 — C. "The official full name for some AWS services includes an abbreviation that is never expanded (for example, Amazon API Gateway, Amazon EMR)." A and B are wrong. Help is "available for every question".
6 — B. The exam page states "Exam duration 130 minutes" and "65 questions" (fetched 2026-09-25). The HTML exam guide doesn't state the duration, which is why this course flags it.
7 — B. Method (lesson 2): "must" phrases are constraints and the superlative is the optimiser. "Most cost-effective" means cheapest among options that meet every constraint. A is the classic misreading.
8 — B. Task 4.2, verbatim. Non-production availability is a named skill, so lowering it for a dev environment is part of what's being tested. A is the production-instinct trap.
9 — B. Compliance: "can't be overwritten or deleted by any user, including the root user in your AWS account." Governance allows users with "special permissions" to delete. The one changed word decides it.
10 — B. Method (lesson 3): zero survivors means a misread constraint. Re-read the stem, not the options. C is never right: a blank scores zero with certainty.
11 — B. "pilot light cannot process requests without additional action taken first, whereas warm standby can handle traffic (at reduced capacity levels) immediately." Active/active is "the most complex and costly approach", so it's out on the optimiser. Backup and restore can't give an RPO in seconds from nightly backups. Warm standby survives. This is two-sided elimination.
12 — B. Method (lesson 3): ignore what the options share. The variable is where they differ.
| Score | Read this as |
|---|---|
| 11–12 | The method is in place. Use it on every quiz in SAA1–SAA4 from now on. |
| 8–10 | Re-read the lesson behind each miss, then do the drills. |
| 5–7 | Redo lessons 1 and 2. Then re-take the SAA2 quiz using the three-pass method out loud. |
| < 5 | Work the module in order. The mechanics in lesson 1 are the foundation. |
